Application
Monitor transcriptional activity of Myocyte enhancer factor 2 (MEF2) transcription factors (TF) in mammalian cells, screen for activators or inhibitors of MEF2 TFs. The fluorescent reporter enables convenient readout using flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, etc. MEF2 is a critical regulator in embryonic and heart development. MEF2 affects myocyte differentiation by regulating cardiac gene expression. In adult organisms, MEF2 proteins mediate the stress response in some tissues. The MEF2 Reporter Lentivirus contains tandem repeats of the consensus MEF2 DNA-binding elements to readout transcriptional activity of MEF2 transcription factors (e.g. MEF2A, MEF2B, MEF2C, MEF2D) in mammalian cells.
