Application
Monitor FOXC2 activity in mammalian cells, screen for activators or inhibitors of FOXC2 signaling. The fluorescent reporter enables convenient readout using flow cytometry, fluorescence microscopy, etc. There are nearly 50 forkhead transcription factors (TFs) encoded in the human genome, all of which share a similar core DNA binding element, but differ in the flanking sequences that confer binding specificity for different forkhead TFs. The forkhead transcription factor FOXC2 reporter is designed to preferentially readout transcriptional activity of FOXC2 vs other forkhead TFs in mammalian cells. FOXC2 controls the expression of genes involved in the normal developmental processes and maintenances such as the lymphatic vesicular formation, and the development of the lungs, eyes, kidneys and urinary tract, cardiovascular system. The tandem repeats of FOXC2 DNA binding element enable to detect the activity of FOXC2 and the signaling pathways for its activation. .
